We were days from the final draft of the proposal. The chapter synopses were polished, the marketing plan was convincing, the platform was developed and explained, the three chapters to be submitted were compelling. And then we hit a snag.
The 2nd book, an interactive small group Bible study, is entitled “Who has the Last Word?” Cutting through Satan’s Lies with the Truth of God’s Word. It’s about those personal lies that Satan tries to hinder us with and how, through Scripture, we can shut him up and live in freedom. Each chapter will include a Lie Truth Chart in which we Recognize the Truth, Replace the Lie with Truth, and Remember the Truth. The Common Threads will also conclude each chapter, keeping it all very personal and practical.
Another aspect of the book, and the sections by which it was divided, was an invitation for us to reclaim peace, purpose, and perspective by embracing the truth. And therein lay the snag. It turns out that Proverbs 31 Ministries has as one of their tag lines, “peace, perspective, and purpose.” We didn’t know this until we were days from the final draft of our proposal.
And after a consultation with the P31 Ministries legal team, we are back to the drawing board for the promises we can reclaim through truth.
On this Makeover Monday, I invite you to makeover with us the phrasing of the promises that we reclaim by embracing the truth – things that Satan wants to steal.
Thanks for joining us in prayer and for exploring some new terms with us! We want your ideas!
