Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know...
Be still... (Psalm 46:10).
One can only truly be still and rest in God’s presence when all else is quieted. The sixteen ladies who gathered at a hotel in Juno Beach, Florida, were able to experience this stillness through a weekend focused on An Attitude of Rest.
The Hispanic Women Workers (pictured) learned, lived, and practiced that rest, returning renewed to the eight congregations they represented across south Florida.
Then, on Sunday, I worshipped with the Iglesia de Cristo in Pompano Beach, where Carlos and Maribel Preciado serve this young congregation. Sunday night, twenty women (almost half of which were visitors) came to one of the sister’s houses where we discussed David and his example as a man after God’s own heart.
I believe that David is an excellent example of one who rested secure in God’s right hand... safe and at peace in the hands of the divine gardener.
This month’s blog theme is In the Hands of the Divine Gardener. It has been inspired by the growth of summer plants, some of my personal studying in the Word, and the Harvest theme for the Equip Conference (formerly Spiritual Growth Workshop) in Orlando, at the end of the month.
