Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Being less encumbered my commercialism, it represents one of the most basic connections and foundational commands we have from God: the giving of thanks.
It is also, for me, about time with family and time together in the kitchen: cooking together, laughing together, making the time-honored and well-tested recipes as well as branching out to try a few new concoctions.
Today, I am most grateful for the faithfulness of my Heavenly Father, for the blessing of family, and for the new adventure that is Iron Rose Sister Ministries.

Whether in preparation for the Thanksgiving meal, cleaning up all the dishes afterward, putting together a craft, or whatever your hands find to do, it is certainly true that many hands make light work.
A couple of weeks ago, a group of ladies came together for a bilingual event here in Denver. There were English and Spanish-speaking women from all ages and stages of life. At lunchtime, they were grouped randomly to share in a meal together and also to work on a craft.
What a joy to see young and old, in English and Spanish, enjoying a time of fellowship and celebrating CHRISTian Relationships, as was the theme for the weekend.
May you also be able to celebrate and be grateful for relationships during this Thanksgiving holiday time - and the fact that many hands make light work!
