Most of us don't have the blessing of waking up to a view of the mountains each morning. But when we get to see them, they are a majestic reminder of the beauty of God's creation. Today, I pray that you can remember that YOU are a majestic reminder of the beauty of God's creation.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." (1 Peter 2:9, 10 NIV)

"No" seems to be among the first words a child learns. They can form the sounds and they understand the meaning behind those two letters. It could also be because they hear the word so often.
"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Prov. 22:6) What is involved in training? Telling a child what not to do or telling a child what to do? Yes. It's both. And even though the child does not understand why they can't do something, part of training involves trusting the parents to guide and train them toward what is best and right for a blessed life.
Do we trust God to train us in our spiritual journey? We often look at the Bible as a rule book - a list of things God is telling us we can't do. We don't have the perspective or wisdom God has and therefore can feel like the only answer we hear is "no."
On this Transformational Tuesday, I encourage you to transform your perspective of God's training. Is God just telling you "no" or is He guiding you to a blessed life?
