Today is a day in the United States in which veterans are honored. The holiday began after the Civil War and was originally called Decoration Day because of the emphasis on decorating gravesites with flowers and flags. It is a day of remembrance and of honoring those who have paid with their lives for our freedom.
Thank you to those families who lost a loved one in war. And thank you to God who paid the ultimate price in sacrificing His Son to make possible our eternal freedom!

On September 12, 1954, my grandparents, George and Barbara Brown were married in Wiersdale, Florida. This weekend, many family members and several close friends will gather to celebrate their 60 years of marriage.
May God be praised for their example of faithfulness to each other and to God. May there be a star in their crown for each of the children’s whose lives they touched and transformed through Christian Homes for Children. May their legacy of faith continue throughout the generations of their family.
I thank God for the blessing they have been in my life and pray that He continues to bless them as well.
